European Research Council launches calls under Horizon 2020

As a continuation of its activity under FP7, European Research Council published first call for proposals within Horizon 2020.  Since 2007, the ERC selected 4,400 projects for funding from more 64 countries with an overall budget of 4.7 bln euro. Under the new Horizon 2020 programme, the ERC’s budget will be increased up to 13 bln euro for the next seven years, which means more funding opportunities for the best, creative scientists and their research teams to pursue ground-breaking research in any domain.
